ABDULMALIK Tanko denied Killing of Hanifa 5 years old Girl.

The suspect in the kidnappings and murder of five-year-old Hanifa Abubakar in Kano ABDULMALIK Tanko finally denied the killing of the girl.

The man accused of abducting and killing Hanifa has denied the allegations leveled against him and two others in court during the trial on Monday.

Abdulmalik Tanko and Hashimu also denied allegations that Hanifa had been poisoned and buried in a school, as seen in a video earlier in the day.

They only responded to one-third of the charges read to them, which was conspiracy.

Fatima, one of the suspects, also denied allegations read to her by writing a letter to Hanifa's parents stating that a ransom of N6 million was required on behalf of Abdulmalik Tanko.

Fatima also denied all the allegations leveled against her.

At a February 7 hearing, the suspects asked the government to provide them with a lawyer to defend them.  Barrister M. L. Usman from Legal Aid and Barrister P. A. Ademakun are defending the people.

Government lawyers led by Commissioner of Justice Barrister Musa Lawan have asked the court to allow them to present their evidence at the next hearing.

Judge Sulaiman Na'abba adjourned the case to March 2 and 3 for a hearing.
