MICROSOFT HAS UNCOVERED ATTEMPTS TO INTERFERE IN US ELECTIONS

Microsoft has warned that Russia, Iran and China have begun launching a crackdown on politicians and groups linked to the November US election.

The company said it had uncovered all attempts to steal the data, and had thwarted all of them.

 At least 200 groups working for the two presidential candidates, Trump and Joe Biden, have been targeted.

 The intruders of a group called Phosphorus, which is linked to the Russian military, and Iranian authorities want to steal information from President Donald Trump's campaign committee, according to Microsoft.

 The Chinese-backed Zirconium hackers have tried to break into the database of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden's campaign committee, but to no avail.

 Democrat leaders have accused some foreign powers of trying to interfere in next November's election.

 U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Democrat leader Chuck Schumer in the House of Representatives have expressed concern that Congress is being used to spread false information.

 In a letter to the FBI, Democrat leaders expressed concern about what they said were threats to the presidential and congressional elections.

 They said the threat included an attempt to launch a campaign trying to spread false propaganda.
